Summary
Colour as promised here and nothing more than a snapshot of some recent highlights. There's a couple of ongoing themes here; these lucky kids that have the most amazing backyard they could ever hope for....and their fortunate parents.
FotoFreo
I'm currently in the process of getting a show together for the Early Work Gallery in Fremantle. This show, 'From Innocence and Back' is going to be part of the FotoFreo Fringe Festival in March 2010.
BW, Colour, 35mm, 6X6???
Although I've been loving the old Yashica 6X6, my reportage instincts for B&W 35mm film prevail, and it'll be this style of work that I'll be continuing to produce on the most part.
Gratuitous Ramble
With winter gone, and spring in the air, there's alot going on down here. I'm traipsing around in my uggies and shorts as opposed to my standard winter stretchy stripies and five layers over top. The waves have thinned out but there's still plenty of joy and otherwise I'm simply getting back into the routine of having to work for a living again.
Work?
On that note, Tracks Magazine has just published a story that I shot in Victoria with journalist and good mate, Kirk Owers (it's from this series that the above shot came from). So anyone who was wondering what I'm doing in winter when the weddings are low, this is it. And what a hard job it was :-)
All the best to you all,
Dean
